Know The Cause!

Q… I have small cell cancer, which started in my
right lung. I have received chemotherapy and my lung is clear but it has now
spread to my brain and five spots in my spine. Along with your Phase 1 Diet,
what pharmaceutical drugs would you recommend to stop it? I have had radiation
to my head and spine and I am scheduled for 6 – 8 months of more chemotherapy.
Please tell me about this “small cell cancer”. Thank you. Brad
A… According to The National Cancer Institute (NCI),
non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a heterogeneous aggregate (mixture) of
at least three distinct types of lung cancer including epidermoid or squamous
carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and large cell carcinoma. It is my opinion
that NCI specialists are brilliant at naming types of cancers, but have far
less success in understanding their etiology or in treating them. Remember
these interesting facts: cancer cells and fungal cells grow without oxygen;
liberate a poison called lactic acid; require carbohydrates to flourish and
respond favorably to antifungal approaches! Imagine that! Could we be overlooking
the greatest breakthrough in the history of medicine? If I were in your
shoes, I’d ask my doctor to prescribe Diflucan 200mg and Nystatin 1,000,000IU,
both antifungal drugs. I’d also begin following our phase 1 diet,
as you have mentioned in your letter. You can get more information about this
novel approach by reading our book, The Germ That Causes Cancer. I
wish you all the best!

Q… Hi Doug! How do we really know which organic foods
are really organic, other than our own home-grown ones? Karen
A… Karen, unfortunately, you don’t! Ruth
and I made the decision when the boys were infants to purchase and feed them
only organic foods. Then came their school and teen years and organic
broccoli gave way to pizza and soda pop. In their 20s, an interesting
thing occurred. They now see a distinct difference in the way they perform
and even behave when their diets head south. Fortunately, our boys often choose
good foods now. We are at the mercy of the food industry when we make
the decision to eat organically. I’ve had the opportunity to meet
some of the fine folks who grow organic foods and grass-fed cattle and chickens
and can attest to their commitment. Talk to your health food stores about
the companies you purchase from and get their feedback...and keep growing your
own!

Q… I have just been to the dentist and I have bleeding
gums and my teeth are in bad shape. My gums are deteriorating and right now
I need a root canal and a lot of costly treatments. Are there any vitamins
or anything I can take to help my teeth and gums. Everything is so costly and
expensive, could you please help? Charla
A… Charla, if I were you, I’d begin taking
a product made by NutriTech, called All-1 Seniors. One of the 40+ ingredients
is CoQ10, essential to prevent gum diseases. It’s a powdered
supplement, so simply mix it up in juice each morning. Peridontal disease
is thought to be caused by inflammation and as amazing as it is to
acknowledge, 90% of folks over the age of 65 have some form of periodontal
disease! I recall reading a Time Magazine several years ago that dedicated
its cover to “Inflammation,” questioning whether heart disease,
Alheimers Disease and even cancer were caused by inflammation. I believe
that inflammation is the end result of a nasty chain of physiological events
(medications like antibiotics, alcohol and grains in the diet) and not
the actual cause of any disease. For swelling (inflammation)
to occur to bread, one needs only yeast, sugar and heat. It is my
opinion that this same process contributes to inflammation in humans, culminating
in diseases like bleeding gums. Try our phase one diet and the All-1
Seniors, or CoQ10 from a health food store, for 30 days and report back
to the same dentist soon thereafter.

Q… You talk about cancer and then you talk about
fungi mimicking cancer. If cancer is a fungus, then can you
have cancer that is not a fungus? Is your program aired in Phoenix AZ? Thank
you, Ken & Cindy
A... Great question Ken and Cindy! I would guess that a
most appropriate question would be, “What causes cancer?” There is
no shortage of credentialed individuals who can dissect and expound upon what cells
make up a cancer tumor. To them, that is exactly what cancer is! A
mass of atypical cells and tissues. Those same credentialed individuals,
however, will honestly tell you that they don’t know what causes cancer. Some substances are
known to cause cancer. Ironically chemotherapy and radiation, two of
the three “standards” of cancer treatment, are themselves carcinogens! We
learned a few years ago that Hormone Replacement Therapy, given to millions
of menopausal women, was also carcinogenic. I suspect that we will one
day learn that fungal metabolites (mycotoxins) like antibiotics and alcohol
also cause cancer. The more research that is done on mycotoxins, the
closer we will be to answering your excellent question because today, researchers
have no idea that fungus even causes cancer.

Q… Dear Mr. Kaufmann, I’ll try to keep this
as short as possible. My mom is 75 years young, a wonderful person, who I can’t
seem to keep out of the emergency room. She has high blood pressure, hypothyroidism,
type II diabetes, and severe gastritis. Her constant belching and severe burning
starts at the left side of stomach/hip area and moves around to her back, breast
area, eyes etc. It is a nightmare that we are living, because of this constant
burning sensation, and she is becoming addicted to Xanax. To help her cope,
doctors have given her Nexium, Protonix, Prevacid, Zantac and you name it.
I’m writing out of desperation for us both. I know God wanted me to contact
you. Thank you so much for your awesome show. God bless you, your family and
staff. Teresa
A... It is so unfortunate that her healers have no
earthly idea that your mother is not suffering from a Xanax, Nexium, Protonix,
Prevacid or Zanac deficiency! I find it so amazing that our most
intelligent have become resocialized by their medical training. When
an animal is sick, it stops eating. Doctors give no credibility at all
to diet in the disease process, yet thousands of research papers prove otherwise. It
is my humbled opinion that gut problems often accompany the oral administration
of antibiotics. These problems seem to respond favorably and quickly
to oral probiotics (www.natren.com) and a changed diet. It is likely
that at some time in the past, your mom took several rounds of antibiotics
and she suffers today because of that. If you’ve read our books, you
know that we have questioned the role of antibiotics in serious diseases like
diabetes, hypertension and even cancer. Simply put, your mom is apparently
not benefiting from all of the pills she has been given, so change is
in the wind. Yes, she is 75 years young, but give her one year of change
and watch how 76 years REALLY young feels!

Q… Dear Doug, My husband has had this problem for
months in which his left ear is plugged. I have used the ear candles and Wally’s
oil, which has given him some relief but not for very long. Each time this
happens it takes more candles and he just never seems to get it to the point
where he can fully hear out of that ear. Along with this I have tried giving
him some decongestant tablets, which have been of little effect. We have also
tried warm compresses to the left ear and neck area. My husband is 66, has
a tree business for the past 40 years so he has been exposed to chain saw and
chipper noises. He now wears ear plugs, but of course the first 25 years he
didn’t, so he has constant ringing in his ears. He wears those disposable
type small rubber ear plugs, I am wondering if these may be causing some of
his problem. He does take vitamins and different herbs. If you have any ideas
or suggestions it would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time, Judy
A... Judy, locking moisture into the ear canals might be
counterproductive if yeast is the root cause of his problem. Of course,
the alternative of not using the plugs when working around loud noises is not
a good one. He could have a medical condition called cerumenosis or excessive
secretion of cerumen. That may explain why the ear candles or oil works
for a short time only, and then the canal fills back up with cerumen. Here’s
what I might do if I were him. After 40 years in business, he probably
has some reliable employees who can tackle the jobs for a few weeks. If
excessive noise is causing this problem, it should be significantly better
within this 14 day break....remember, you can’t raise your voice at him
for 14 days(!) If the ears are no better, visit an Ear, Nose and Throat
doctor and talk with him about cerumenosis and the likelihood that this condition
may be contributing to his misery. Finally, try using either Grape Seed
Extract or pycnogenol as a supplement for a month and see if that helps.
