BELIEVE AND SUCCEED

Most people fail in life because they don't believe they can succeed. So…believe and succeed!

There is plenty of room at the top of any occupation, however, the bottom is crowded. It is said there are too many chiefs and not enough working class people, but we need more people believing in themselves and they will also become chiefs.

Recently a job placement company stated that they receive three times as many applicants for the $30,000 jobs than they do for the higher paying position.

These words were spoken by the prophet David, "as one thinketh in his heart, so is he".

Milton wrote in (Paradise Lost) these words: "The mind is in its own place and in itself can make a Heaven of Hell or a Hell of Heaven.

As old Shakespeare wrote, "There is nothing either good or bad except that thinking makes it so."

Remember, whatever the mind can conceive, one can achieve if he only believes he can and works at it.

For many years it was thought impossible for a person to run a four-minute mile, however, Roger Banister believed he could, and he did. A year later, seven people ran it also, and the following year 37 people ran it - get the connection? Believe and succeed.

The medical world believes they will find a cure for cancer as they have other illnesses and someday they will. The thermostat that regulates success is, in one word, BELIEVE.

Henry Ford said if you think you can, you will, however, if you think you can't, you won't.

You see, success is filled with CANS - not CAN'T, so get a can opener and succeed this coming year. Remember, a person's mind is a storage bin and it keeps many secrets, desires, wishes both of success and of defeat, and whichever one nourishes, it will bring forth. Successful people are usually positive and look at the good side of all situations.

In essence, if one tells themselves the day will be lousy, it will become a lousy day and the opposite, if one thinks, it depends on you.

We only get better at our vocations, good enough to win by reducing our mistakes, and this begins with the correct thinking.

Remember, the door of success opens wide each day for those who believe it will include them. With your whole body filled with ambition, you can only succeed. In essence, you captain your own ship. Don't let the squirrels steal your nuts (squirrels being nay-sayers). Conceive, believe and succeed.

Any occupation is a paycheck, and if one applies themselves with a positive attitude, the sky is the limit.

May each of you have a Happy New Year, and be good to yourself and your family. Raise your opinion of your ability and make 2006 a better year for all.
