A Peek at the Past
The Jenny Weaver
By Leonard DeFrain

A commercial schooner, the Jenny Weaver, was owned by George Fisher and Charlie Frame. The schooner was also used for fishing parties by Darius Mihlethaler, J.I. Bennett, Ralph Allen, Bill Dergis, Harry Ryan, Fred Carter, Robert Jenks, Charley Weaver, and Charles Petit, of Harbor Beach.

John Morley’s daughter, Bertha, was married to George Fisher and always cooked for the group. One of their destinations was “up to a cabin” named, “we won’t tell.”

Just where the “we won’t tell cabin” was located, I don’t know. Perhaps someone can fill me in and also tell me more about the boat.
